Large diamond branch brooch in 18 karat gold and silver. Antique Napoleon III period brooch depicting a delicate naturalistic branch. The motif features several chiseled leaves and small round flower buds, fully paved with 62 foil-backed rose-cut diamonds. Following traditional 19th-century techniques, the diamonds are set in silver to enhance their whiteness, while the rest of the piece is crafted in yellow gold. Antique brooch, circa 1850-1860, France.
