Studio Plaster Statue By Charles Filleul: Woman With A Fan, 20th Century
This plaster statue by Charles Alexandre Filleul (1856–1907) comes from an artist’s studio. It is a unique piece, a preparatory work—likely for a bronze sculpture—known as a studio plaster.
Regarding its condition, note several flaws: the head and the fan have been reattached; there are missing sections behind the neck; small rusty pins on the back; and marks and soiling. We note wear on the patina, a chip on the nose, holes in the left elbow, a rusty rod protruding from the right shoulder, and the base has been reinforced with rusty metal rods.
Overall, the piece remains presentable, but we are committed to providing an honest description.
Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the item.
