A beautiful full-length portrait of awoman from the island of Procida, off the coast of Naples. The young womanis seated, facing the viewer; her attire is very refined andquite intricate, with numerous layers of fabrics andcolors. An inscription reading “Procida” at the bottom ingraphite.
This watercolor was paintedaround 1840.
Sold in a newmat frame.
