A rare and elegant ceramic table lamp attributed to Georges Pelletier, one of the most important French ceramic artists of the second half of the 20th century, whose works are highly sought after by collectors today.

This lamp features a baluster-shaped glazed ceramic base, decorated with circular geometric cabochons in slight relief—an emblematic motif of Pelletier’s decorative vocabulary. The glaze, in shades of brown and ochre, perfectly highlights the craftsmanship of the material.

It is topped with its original parchment shade, decorated with pyrographed floral motifs in sepia tones. This design truly comes to life when the lamp is lit.

A sought-after feature, this lamp has a dual lighting system:

• a main light source beneath the shade;
• a second internal light source that diffuses a soft glow through the parchment, creating a particularly warm ambiance.

This dual-lighting technique was used on certain high-end models from the 1960s and 1970s.

The piece perfectly exemplifies French design from the “Trente Glorieuses” era, blending modernism, artisanal craftsmanship, and organic decoration, in the spirit of Vallauris’s creations.

In very good overall condition.

The lampshade is original and displays the natural patina expected for its age.
