Plaster medallion depicting a man’s portrait in bas-relief by the Saint-Étienne sculptor André Longeon. According to the artist’s family, the model was a manager of the Loire Mines, a mining company based in Saint-Étienne which was nationalised in 1946. Thus, in addition to being a work of art, this medallion is an artifact of Saint-Étienne’s industrial heritage.
