Here, the artist presents a view of La Pinéa—an iconic peak in the Chartreuse massif—recognizable by its soaring, rocky silhouette rising above the wooded slopes. To the left, beyond a small mountain pass, a more modest rocky peak appears, harmoniously balancing the composition and enhancing the landscape's sense of depth.
