Wall-mounted Lamp With A Parrot, Banci, Florence, Circa 1960
Handcrafted Florentine wall sconce, attributed to the Banci company.
The central section is adorned with a small crystal flower vase atop which rests a crystal parrot; both elements are mirror-finished on the back, creating a refined play of reflections. All around is a decorative composition of sinuous ramages in painted iron, small leaves in glass cabochons, and a flower with crystal petals.
A single light source, mounted on a small-base lamp holder, integrated into a faux painted wooden candle.
Condition: good overall condition; slight signs of wear consistent with its age and manufacturing technique. Original electrical wiring in working order.
N.B. We also have five other wall sconces from the same manufacturer and of the same model, but much larger and more imposing, forming a decorative set that is rare on the market.
