A pair of Louis XVI-style *bergères* by Mailfert, featuring light-colored wood and high backs. These exceptionally comfortable armchairs have been fully reupholstered; the cushions are reversible and have removable covers. Finished with antiqued gilt nailhead trim. Seat height: 41 cm. Each chair bears the branded "salamander" stamp, the mark of cabinetmaker André Mailfert (1884–1943).
