Perfume Set, 18th Century, Green Galuchat And Silver, Good Condition
Artist: Ateliers Parisiens
A beautiful 18th-century display piece, well-preserved condition, this pocket perfume case lined with pink silk holds two fragrances: small, flat glass vials, each with its own emery-finished glass stopper (one of which is stuck), hidden beneath a silver cap, each bearing one18th-century hallmark, a small overhanging silver funnel, a small brass spoon, and a note book made of bone material that has yellowed nicely.
This set is contained in a green shagreen case, which closes securely, with a gilded hinge and rivet.
In fairly good condition: the green shagreen is slightly worn, with a scuff on back near hinge.
Dimensions: vials: 6 cm, diameter: 2 cm; case: 7.8 cm H x 6 cm, diameter: 2.5 cm.
