Revolutionary "storming Of The Bastille" Plate Made Of Nevers Earthenware, Late 18th Century Revolution
Earthenware plate featuring a revolutionary design depicting the storming of the Bastille within a rectangular cartouche with beveled corners, showing two artillerymen and their cannons aimed at the fortress.
Nevers, circa 1789–1790.
This plate is in nearly perfect condition; it has clearly never been used and shows not a single scratch. There are simply two small areas of glaze shrinkage and minute scuffs along the rim.
