A large glazed terracotta plaque imitating white marble, made in the late 18th century or very early 19th century, depicting a graceful angel surrounded by putti unfurling a long scroll.

This work immediately captivates with the quality of its modeling and the remarkable illusion created by its white glaze, whose slightly shimmering surface evokes certain varieties of Carrara marble.
