Six Tecno Armchairs By E. Gerli. Ps142 From 1969
Artist: Eugenio Gerli
A very beautiful and rare set of six Tecno PS142 armchairs designed by Milanese architect Eugenio Gerli (1923–2013) in 1969.
Concealed metal frame covered with foam and upholstered in thick, light red “raspberry” corduroy.
This is a modern design typical of the 1960s—both rigid and soft—with a comfortable yet firm seat that provides good back support. In a word, supple. The seat cushions are removable, revealing a cast aluminum frame strung with ten low-pitched piano wires.
Each armchair comes with an accessory I’ve never seen anywhere else: a small, rectangular lumbar cushion covered in the same velvet.
The condition is excellent, with no noticeable wear. The rubber ball casters swivel, giving these chairs a playful and free-spirited feel that’s typically Italian.
68 x 60 x 67 cm.
Delivery available.
