Born in 1947, Alain Blanchard discovered ceramics in the early 1970s. After gaining initial experience as a decorator at the Keraluc pottery in Quimper, he founded his own studio, la Poterie du Méjou Roz, in Brittany. His work, primarily made of stoneware, is renowned for the quality of its glazes, its engraved decorations, and his highly personal artistic style.
