A beautiful small bronze (12 cm) with a reddish-brown patina depicting the archetypal figure of Muscadin.
Muscadin, used as a nickname, referred during the French Revolution to a young bourgeois, royalist, or counter-revolutionary with an eccentric elegance.
The slightly backward-leaning posture (made possible by a sort of pivot in the base) adds to the character’s pedantry.
Very good condition (marks, scratches; see descriptive photos).
