Antique Cut-glass Liqueur Bottle, Central Europe, 1920–1940
A beautiful, hand-cut lead crystal liqueur bottle, square in shape and compact in size, with a capacity of approximately 500 cl.
The outer walls are decorated with a geometric pattern hand-engraved with a grinding wheel, alternating between rectangular facets and horizontal lines.
The original stopper, solid and faceted, is the most revealing stylistic element: it is typical of Central European manufacturers active between 1920 and 1940, in Bohemia or—more likely—in Germany (Zwiesel, Josephinenhütte, Lausitzer Glas).
Condition: good; note a small chip at the base of the stopper, located inside the neck, and therefore barely visible and having no aesthetic impact (see last photo).
