Impressive Louis XV-style Provençal display cabinet in solid walnut, dating from the 18th century.
It opens with two large molded doors featuring elegant, ornate panels. The front is topped by a richly scrolled crossbar, adorned with a central rosette and delicate corner carvings. The side posts are softened by chamfered edges, while the generously overhanging cornice emphasizes the overall elegance of the piece.
The interior is entirely original and features two drawers in the upper section as well as several shelves offering ample storage capacity. The metalwork, the keyholes, the surface-mounted lock, the key, and the long wrought-iron pins are all original.
This cabinet rests on scroll-shaped legs characteristic of Louis XV-style Provençal furniture. Its walnut wood has developed a beautiful, warm patina over the centuries.
