Large Silver Brooch
A beautiful traditional Berber brooch made of solid silver, featuring finely chiseled geometric and botanical motifs.
This handcrafted piece features a large openwork plate with serrated edges, adorned with engraved motifs typical of North African tribal art. The central teardrop-shaped design, surrounded by friezes and stylized arabesques, is a testament to meticulous handiwork.
The brooch retains its movable pin and fastening ring—characteristic elements of Berber jewelry traditionally used to secure clothing or veils. The triangular silhouette and symbolic forms evoke pieces from Morocco or the Atlas Mountains, where such jewelry also served a protective and identity-affirming function.
The reverse side reveals traditional artisanal craftsmanship, with visible tool marks and solder joints—signs of authenticity.
