Louis XVI-era Natural Wood Bergère Chair
Beautiful 18th-century bergère chair in natural wood (beech), molded and carved, with a flat backrest featuring a stepped design and interlaced decoration; the armrests have platform-style arms that once contained compartments with hinged lids, and the chair rests on tapered legs with fluted, serrated grooves. Upholstered in a lovely embossed velvet with a feather-filled cushion. A faint mark on the front crossbar.
