Tortoiseshell beauty box.
Its rim is adorned with a garland of green gold hearts on a rose gold background.
At its center is a medallion featuring the same design.
It opens with a hinged lid, operated by a push button chased with foliage motifs, revealing three small compartments, two of which are lockable and feature a coat-of-arms in the center.
The underside of the lid is flanked by a small mirror.
It comes with its original brush, rimmed in gold.
It bears the Paris hallmarks from 1774–1780 on the hinges and on the brush ring.
French work from the Louis XVI period in very good condition.
