Jean PERRET was born in 1910. He died in 2003. A student at the Lyon School of Fine Arts, he exhibited his work at the Lyon Society of Fine Arts. He served as president of the jury there for 15 years. He was particularly fond of landscapes of the Monts du Lyonnais, Provence, and the Atlantic beaches. He painted them in peaceful, balanced compositions marked by an apparent simplicity. His palette is original and his colors are bold. The French government, the City of Paris, and the City of Lyon have purchased his paintings. The painting is highlighted by an American-style frame.
