Capsule reliquary ex-ossibus of Saint Andrew, Apostle, brother of Saint Peter. Late 19th century.
Miniature gouache centered and surrounded by delicate work of gold and silver metallic threads. Protective glass pane on the front.
Metal capsule (aluminum/zinc and brass), wax seal on the back, cords frayed over time (oxidation?)
A lovely devotional piece.
Oval dimensions: 5.5 x 4.5 cm (excluding the eyelet)
