This magnificent small Regency chest of drawers from the very early 19th century captivates with its elegance and refinement. Crafted from finely worked rosewood marquetry, it features a curved, crossbow-shaped front, showcasing remarkable cabinetmaking expertise. This rare piece is crowned with a superb piece of Griotte marble in a dynamic shape, framed by a “bec de corbin” that emphasizes the piece’s nobility. The cabinet’s curved front features four tall, spacious drawers adorned with drooping handles in chiseled bronze. At the center of each drawer, a richly crafted gilded bronze keyhole catches the eye. It is functional and comes with four matching keys. The rounded side panels feature brass fluting that softens the lines, while the lower crossbar, with its beautifully undulating design
