Boulle-style Wall Sconce Signed De Lorme

A very pretty small console table with a top in polychrome Boulle marquetry featuring tortoiseshell stained green and red, mother-of-pearl, and ebony, on a gilded copper background
. With a distinctive shape,it features rich ornamentation of bronze elements, chiseled and retaining their original mercury gilding, depicting sea monsters; the bronze on the door depicts Poseidon and a muse,and is topped by a cupid bearing a coat of arms
The case is in good condition
The movement is functional and strikes on the hour and half-hour,it will require a pendulum and a winding key, both of which are missing
The hammer needs to be reattached
The plate is signed “Delorme à Paris”

The console features beautiful bronze fittings, including an espagnolette,which has some minor gaps and imperfections in the marquetry that are not particularly noticeable—see photos
Henry Philippe Delorme, or De Lorme, was active from 1718 to 1749, a juror of the guild, and had several addresses in Paris
He supplied the most prominent aristocrats and remains one of the most illustrious master clockmakers of his time
