Very beautiful carved ivory crucifix depicting the living Christ with his head tilted to the right, his very expressive face turned towards the sky, his mouth half-open, his veins protruding, his peritonitis pleated and tied around his waist, complete with the titulum, on a stained wooden cross. Very beautiful work from Dieppe from the 18th century. Dimensions of Christ H 24. Height of the cross 43cm. Presented in its carved and gilded wooden frame decorated with flowers, palmettes and foliage, original frame, the arched top, the gilding also in good condition. Dimensions height 60cm width 38cm depth 6cm. Work from the Regency period, early 18th century.
