16th-century Offering Basin

Artist: Nuremberg

A rare repoussé brass offering basin depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. A beautiful narrative composition brought to life by numerous details, characteristic of Nuremberg craftsmanship. A stunning example of German Renaissance brasswork, dating from the 16th century. A high-quality piece that is both decorative and emblematic of Germanic art of this period.

Note a slight crack in one of the flutes.
