DESCRIPTION: An impressive sideboard or 3-door buffet featuring Boulle marquetry of tortoiseshell and brass, with rich ornamentation of gilded bronze elements such as: multiple ingot moldings, spandrels framing the doors, upper and lower moldings, a mask of Bacchus on the doors, and corners and sides adorned with cherubs and spandrels. Rich marquetry featuring scrollwork, volutes, and interlacing motifs, framed by geometric patterns on the sides and top panel, as well as friezes of ovals and acanthus leaves.
