Art Deco Still Life Painting, Spring Flowers, Oil On Canvas, Antique Painting, XX. (qf748)

Artist: Maurice Alfred Decamps (1892-1953)

The antique floral still life paintings with spring flowers presented here are a refined oil on canvas painting from the

early 20th century, in the Art Deco style.

The antique painting is housed in a carved and lacquered wooden frame, Montparnasse type, dating to the early 1900s.

This is a pictorial composition featuring a rich bouquet of cut flowers, arranged in a decorated ceramic vase, resting on a

dark surface that creates an effective contrast with the vivid color palette of the composition.

The floral arrangement, including zinnias, daisies, ranunculus and cornflowers, is harmonious.

The painterly style, linked to Art Deco and post-Impressionist taste, stands out for its chromatic balance, soft brushstrokes,

and careful rendering of the petals’ texture.
