Small Linen Cupboard, 18th-century Work From Saint-malo
A very small, solid-wood Malouine chest of drawers whose uniqueness and charm lie primarily in its unusual yet regionally characteristic cornice.
It opens with two molded doors fitted with original hardware. The lock is antique and still has its key. It rests on four legs, the front legs carved and the rear legs straight and molded. The interior, consisting of three shelves secured by battens, is still lined with an old, worn but charming floral cretonne. It is made of solid wood, primarily oak with some walnut sections.
