The opulence of the sculpture here represents the family's desire to assert its wealth. The high crosspiece carved with garlands of flowers and a central bouquet, the well-worked cornucopias, the cornice with six rows of sculpture (rare for Vire), the perfectly balanced decoration of the low crosspiece make it a worthy model.
