Batta MIHAILOVITCH (1923-2011) Serbian painter of the School of Paris ......Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts in 1946.....Founder of the "Group of Eleven" in 1947 in Zadar, which he left in 1951.......Settled in Paris in 1952.....Exhibitions in Paris, at the Galerie Ariel, at the Galerie Rive Gauche.....Salon des Réalités Nouvelles from 1957.....Salon de Mai from 1959.....Divided his time between Paris and Belgrade for decades.....Elected a Member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade in 1985, where a retrospective of his works was held in 1989.......See the Dictionary of the School of Paris from 1945 to 1965 by Lydia Harembourg, which devotes two pages to the painter’s biography (pages 341 and 342)
