Annie Proszynska was born in Nogent-sur-Marne in 1924. After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, she turned to painting and engraving. From 1959, she participated in group exhibitions at the Galerie Hamon and presented her paintings at the Salon d'Automne. Solo exhibitions were dedicated to her at Kiefer in Paris and at Matarasso in Nice. She lived in Nice from 1864 until her death; her paintings, often inspired by the Mediterranean, and very colorful in pastel tones, play on the superimposition of sketched shapes and silhouettes.
