A remarkable Spanish flintlock travel pistol, circa 1800. The barrel is decorated with gold inlays; the muzzle ring is also richly crafted. The fittings are of high quality, featuring fluting and high relief executed with remarkable artistic precision. The chiseling and engraving feature gold backgrounds. The flintlock lock reflects the same level of craftsmanship as the rest of the weapon, with its various components extensively engraved and also enhanced with gold backgrounds. Excellent condition.
