HUGUESOF BIRMINGHAM).Leonardt & Co.& Co manufactured these monumental binders... the salesman presented histo government departments, retail outlets and schools ....Feathers tiedby a red thread, waited on a cardboard box with the reference number or thematerial.Each feather had its ownshape (reservoir nibs, fine nibs for cartography,calligraphy nibs, softer "balloon" nibs), the metalmetal (raw steel, blued steel, gold-plated) and, above all, flexibility.When unfolded,this "filing cabinet" is 4.25 meters long. It comprises 14 trays with blue velvet backgrounds and over 500 feathers. All in mint condition, with some showinga little corrosion due to the vicissitudes of yesteryear.A museum object bydefinition.
