Length: 72 cm; Width: 5 cm
A hardwood mace with a striking blade, of a so-called ‘prismatic’ shape. The handle is covered with a decoration of plant fibres woven into a two-coloured geometric pattern – traditional Karaja motifs.
The proximal end is ringed and finished with a slightly conical pommel.
This combat club was reserved for powerful warriors and clan chiefs and could be used as a dance staff in certain ceremonies.
