Antique Italian Still Life Painting From The 18th Century

Antique Italian painting from the mid-18th century. Artwork oil on canvas depicting a still life with fruit, beautifully painted. A beautifully sized and proportioned painting, it would easily fit into any space in the home, making it a favorite with antique dealers and collectors. The painting is adorned with a non-contemporary 20th-century wood and plaster frame, carved and gilded (Mecca finish). The painting is almost square in shape, extending a few centimeters horizontally.

The perspective chosen by the painter is pleasing and decorative, adding, in addition to the fruit, a beautiful centerpiece, a plate with a decorated edge, and a curtain that extends across the table, almost dividing the work in two (see photo).
