This elegant and iconic Hermès Kelly 28 Sellier bag in black Box leather, an emblematic model of the Parisian house, was most likely made in the late 1950s. This iconic object is in beautiful condition despite being over 65 years old !!!

This example exhibits the characteristics of the early Kelly bags: Sellier construction with clean lines, gold-tone hardware, a leather-wrapped handle, and a black leather interior. It comes with its padlock, two keys in leather clochettes, and its Hermès dust bag.
A repair invoice from the Hermès workshops, dated December 5, 1973, accompanies the bag and provides valuable provenance information.

The bag retains a beautiful presence and an authentic patina that testifies to its history.
The leather shows signs of wear, marks, and rubbing on the interior consistent with its age.
The gold-tone hardware shows some wear to the gilding.
There are also signs of use inside, as well as visible wear on the handle and some corners, as seen in the photographs.
