Victorian Mahogany Dining Table - 19th Century
Victorian mahogany dining table - 19th century
Elegant Victorian dining table crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneer in a rich, warm hue. Its curved top with scalloped contours is highlighted by a remarkable carved twisted molding that lends it a great deal of character.
The top rests on a substantial carved baluster central shaft, terminating in a base with four wide cambered legs richly adorned with scrolls and foliage. This monumental base ensures excellent stability for the whole, while offering great freedom of movement for guests.
The particularly decorative grain of the mahogany enhances the quality of the wood and the elegance of the workmanship. This table will comfortably seat several people and is equally at home in a classic dining room or a characterful interior.
