Cylindrical Mobile Metal Calorifier With Gothic Revival Openwork Gallery, 19th Century
Cylindrical mobile calorifier resting on a circular doucine base terminating in claw feet. The main body is flanked at the top by an openwork gallery with a network of trefoil and quatrefoil arches, a neo-Gothic motif. The sides are pierced by two circular oculi with openwork radiating rosettes, designed to circulate air.The front features a rectangular curved hearth door, framed by a molded border decorated with foliage, pearls and scrolls, and fitted with a rosette-shaped knob. The removable top cover features a central circular medallion with radiating palmettes and acanthus leaves, surrounded by a frieze of oves, and topped by a turned knob. The interior houses a perforated dome heater mounted on an openwork frame.
