Rocaille style Chinese lacquer table inkwell with rich chased and gilded bronze trim
From the 19th century
The oblong top features a Chinese lacquer panel decorated with flowers and foliage. It is encased in a moving bronze frame decorated with scrolls, staples and shells typical of the Louis XV repertoire
The inkwell is topped by two removable cups formed by fine porcelain in the "Famille Verte" style with polychrome decoration of cranes and marine elements. They are topped with removable chased and openwork bronze lids.
Please note that one of the cups features an old restoration (a vertical crack with a small chip on the lip)
