Porcelain Lamp Base - Thuringia (19th Century) Polychrome porcelain lamp base depicting a putto (cherub) holding a fishing net, leaning against a flowering tree trunk. The decoration features flowers and fruit applied in relief in the style of Saxon porcelain. The openwork base is adorned with a naturalistic grove scene. Thuringian manufacture, probably late 19th century (between 1890 and 1910). The electrical system needs to be replaced. Very minor chips. On display at Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
