Very rare Art Deco style Baccarat crystal box from the 30's.
It is molded and pressed crystal.
The signature is on the inside of the box.
Despite my research in Baccarat catalogs over the years, I have not found any jewelry box of this model.
Note that two tiny chips in no way detract from the beauty of this box, which was certainly inspired by R.Lalique's creations of the same period.
The decoration of this box is composed of birds and branches in a Japanese style.
Note that the relief decorations, particularly the birds, have not been acid-etched.
