Large 19th Century Lamp Base

 Description:
Gilt and chased bronze.
This large lamp base, in the style of a Louis XIV/Louis XV interpretation, is a masterpiece of chasing.
The base features broad lion's paw feet, and the rocaille scrolled stem terminates in a stack of open and closed petal-shaped rings.
The lampshade dates from the 1950s.A bronze finial has been added; it is made of bronze elements contemporary with the base.
Condition:
Very good condition;
the electrical wiring has been replaced.
Three tassels are missing

Height of base: 80 cm, height with lampshade and finial: 103 cm, base diameter: 35 cm.
