Biedermeier-style Writing Desk, Circa 1840
Walnut-veneered Biedermeier-style writing desk with three lower drawers, a flat flap and an upper drawer. The pilasters are designed as columns surmounted by baluster capitals. The cornice is richly molded and crowned with a small central shelf. The interior features ten drawers arranged around a central compartment framed by columns and an arched opening. The desk has been restored and polished by hand.
