Vase With Italian Landscapes Porcelain From Paris - 19th C
Porcelain of Paris vase with gold highlights, baluster-shaped body with two handles decorated with sphinxes. It rests on a pedestal with square base, on the body two paintings, one with a decoration of ruined architecture and a view of an estuary, the other depicts in a landscape with a fortified village on the banks of a river, a group of characters in front of an inn bidding farewell to a man on horseback accompanied by his dog, the inn is indicated by a sign: a swan. The body of the vase is joined to the base by a metal rod passing through the base. Restoration / Louis Philippe style, 19th century circa 1840.
