Black Forest Clock: Rooster Decoration.
Majestic mantel clock or pendulum from the 2nd part of the 19th century. Made of Black Forest region (Germany) or related: France, Switzerland. Solid wood frame finely carved with vegetal decorations and a triumphant of a triumphant rooster. In the center is the large blue-enameled Roman numerals on a white background. French movement "Brocot" type leaf-sprung balance wheel in very good condition (supplied with key): chimes hours and half-hours for 8/10 days. Slightly missing on the frame. Very good condition.
