Candlestick In Meissen Porcelain
Created by Johann Joachim Kaendler and his collaborators around 1749, this tree-shaped candlestick with two candles depicts a gardener under the tree, holding a nest and showing the eggs to a child. The candlestick is decorated with delicate floral paintings around the rim. In good condition, leaves missing from the tree. Blue crossed swords mark and numbered 1160. Pairs with candlestick number 1253. Listed in the Meissen - Bergmann catalogue
