Louis XV period secretary in marquetry and veneer, XVIIIᵉ century
Charming Louis XV period flap-top secretary, opening with an upper drawer, a flap revealing an interior lined with small drawers and pigeonholes, and a lower compartment with two doors.
The front is elegantly curved, decorated with a beautiful geometric marquetry in light wood framed by darker woods. Finely chased bronzes adorn the handles and key escutcheons. The top is original, veined gray marble.
The interior, in red wood, is practically organized with small drawers and compartments for writing and storing documents. The slightly arched legs end in graceful bronze sabots.
Refined furniture, typical of the French XVIIIᵉ century, combining elegance, functionality and fine craftsmanship.
