20th-century Egg-layer
Artist: Alfred Renoleau
Charming Angoulème earthenware egg cup holder signed Alfred Renoleau (AR) and dating from the 1st half of the 20th century (circa 1920).
This object bears the mark of the Moras magason in Royan (17), perhaps a souvenir to bring back from a stay in this seaside resort.
It includes 6 egg cups (small chips from use) decorated with garlands of foliage on a yellow background and outlined with red fillets.
These egg cups fit into an earthenware stand featuring the same color codes and medallions of seaside scenes.
A handle on the top makes handling easier.
Total height of the object 10 cm
Width 13 cm
Length 18.5 cm
Dimensions of 1 egg cup
Diameter 4.5 cm
Height 5.5 cm
Very good condition. Minor chips from use
1st half 20th century.
Shipment offered for metropolitan France
An object certainly outdated but very decorative and full of charm.
