Large Clock In Capodimonte Porcelain With Romantic Décor

Large Capodimonte porcelain clock with rich romantic and pastoral decoration, adorned with groups of putti surrounding a flowering goat.

This spectacular Louis XVI-style clock features a large white porcelain decoration enhanced by hand-applied polychrome flowers.

The top is animated by several cherubs playing around a goat decorated with a garland of roses, in a gallant and mythological spirit typical of 20th-century Capodimonte productions.

The circular enamelled dial is set in a gilded brass mount.

The mechanical movement is visible at the back.

The architectural base is embellished with garlands and bows in relief.

Very beautiful decorative piece, ideal for a mantelpiece, a classical salon or a collection of Italian porcelain.
