White porcelain round teapot with floral design painted in cobalt blue underglaze. It has been entirely cleaned, except for the interior which still shows shells and deposits to testify to its underwater origin. The glaze is slightly matt due to three centuries of exposure to the action of water. It is in very good condition : no chip, no crack.
The few examples presented at the Amsterdam sale in 1997 were particularly broken (see photo).
Largest dimension: 195 mm, weight: 350 g.
